The children pass under a bridge formed by two children raising their arms to form an arch. These two children have previously secretly decided which one represents "gold" and which one "silver." At the words "My fair lady," the bridge falls-that is the children Imitating it, drop their hands- and the child who is caught is asked which it prefers, "gold or silver? This child then takes its place behind the one who represents his choice and the game continues until all have chosen. Then a tug-of-war between'gold and silver" ends the game. |
